Freire Wilmington’s goal for our students is “Graduation x2”—success in and graduation from not just high school, but college as well. Our unique five-year high school program, starting in 8th grade, gives students the time and support they need to catch up and then excel.
Freire Schools’ proven college-preparatory academic program offers Delaware students a much-needed free, high-quality educational option, that is successfully preparing kids for college. Our 2025 graduates (62 graduates) achieved a 95% college acceptance rate, were accepted to 52 unique colleges and universities, and earned over $4.3 million in scholarships and financial aid offers.
This success is possible because the Freire Wilmington community is a true family, where students and teachers work together to build the future each student wants and deserves.
